Keyboard Shortcuts

The newer mathies Tools have some or all of the following keyboard shortcuts implemented for desktop computers.

NOTE:

1. SPACE + C means hold the space key down and tap the C key.
2. Sometimes the CTRL key (Windows) or the Command key (Mac) will work instead of SPACE.

Movement Shortcuts

Movement uses the Arrow keys, and the standard WASD and IJKL layout used by many games. It applies to the currently selected tool object, image or annotation object. In some tools, pressing Enter during the move commits the position to the undo/redo chain.

mathies Tool Shortcuts

Action	Keyboard Shortcut(s)	Notes
Rotate	SPACE + R	Rotates: selected objects in Relational Rods a selection of 2 or more objects in Colour Tiles number frames in the Set Tool. Rotates annotation objects.
Increase Object Size	+ (no shift required)	Changes the number of objects that will fit in the workspace for: Money Set Tool Colour Tiles Used to zoom in and out for: Number Line Tool Fraction Strips Tool Note: If using a mouse, you can use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. On mobile, you can use the pinch-to-zoom gesture to zoom in and out.
Decrease Object Size	-
Reflect down up right left	h SHIFT + H v SHIFT + V	Makes a copy of the selected objects and reflects the copy in one of the four directions. Implemented in Colour Tiles (and Pattern Blocks once updated).
Change the multiplier	1, 2, 5, 0 (for 10)	Used in the Set Tool, Colour Tiles and Money. In Colour Tiles, the shortcut SHIFT + 0 is used to change the multiplier to 100.

For those apps which support the opening and saving of files:
